We are seeking employees to join our 2nd shift teams -- Material Handling, and Assembly -- at Tubelite in Walker! Pay begins at $16.25 an hour, plus a $2.00 Shift premium for working an off shift! Apply today!!

Material Handling Overview:

Our Material Handling team members work as a team to ensure material is received, stored, picked, packed and shipped to clients accurately per schedule. Our Material Handling team works together to read and verify paperwork, work orders or work instructions for distribution and storage accuracy. Material Handling team members perform complex tasks to ensure that all material is handled, stored and distributed properly.

Our Material Handling team members wear required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves and sleeves, ear plugs, and hard hats when needed. Our team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. Our team uses care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged. Our team works together to keep the work area clean.

All Material Handling team members perform these job functions to complete the daily schedule.

Position Requirements for Warehouse and Material Handling:

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be 18 years old or 17 years old with a high school diploma, GED or high school certificate
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Periodically uses pneumatic tools to package material according to strict specifications
  • Able to read and interpret work instructions and work orders in English
  • Able to perform basic computer functions related to data entry, output and storage
  • Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, push, pull and twist with product in hand
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (including overtime and weekends) when required to meet customer demands

Preferred Experience for Warehouse and Material Handling:

  • Previous warehouse, shipping, distribution, receiving, or production experience
  • Previous Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) experience

Assembly Overview:

Our Assembly team members work as a team to ensure all sales orders are assembled and packed per schedule. Our Assembly team assembles interior and exterior doors (along with their associated hardware) for commercial use. Our Assembly team performs complex tasks in the fields of sub assembly, layout, and hardware implementation. Assembly members read and verify paperwork, work orders or work instructions for product accuracy. Our Assembly team verifies the quality of material and the finished product.

Position Requirements for Assembly:

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, push, pull and twist with product in hand
  • Must be able to work flexible hours (including over time and weekends) when required to meet customer demands
  • Able to read and interpret work instructions and work orders in English
  • Able to perform basic computer functions related to data entry, output and storage
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and templates
  • Able to perform basic math computations
  • Able to read a tape measure

Preferred Experience for Assembly:

  • Previous assembly experience
  • Familiarity with custom parts/hardware ("CP") and its typical applications
