About This Role:
The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is seeking an Agricultural Technician Supervisor Research to assist with seed production for the Foundation Seed Program at the Agronomy North Farm. Primary responsibilities include organizing and performing activities related to the production of foundation class certified seed of various species of crops, and working on and with specialized equipment, trucks, augers, structures, etc. This individual will work closely with Agronomy Farm and Western Kansas Agricultural Research Center personnel to accomplish objectives.

What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma and three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the operation of seed conditioning, treating, bagging equipment, and general seed production knowledge.
Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Word and Excel, and QuickBooks or the ability to learn.
Experience in operating farm equipment including grain trucks, trailers, augers, tractors, and other.
Skills pertaining to mechanical, electrical, basic woodworking, and basic welding projects and repairs.
Licenses / registrations / certifications and equipment used
Have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL and a Kansas Commercial pesticide Applicators license in categories 1A, 4, and 7B within 6 months of employment
