The Position:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Director, US Partnerships role is to grow international student enrolments for EduCo university partners based in the US through the effective development and management of a qualified student candidate pipeline for both UG and PG programs of study. The position is primarily responsible for managing various US university student pipelines and all its recruitment efforts but at the same time will also be responsible for student data management for those institutions through daily/regular audits. Primarily, this position is responsible for maintaining our partnership with Texas Tech University, University of Tulsa, Minnesota State University Mankato, Rowan University and SUNY Albany.
- Grow, manage, and convert b-b and b-c international student application pipelines into enrolments
- Manage entire international student application and conversion cycles via Salesforce and university SIS systems
- Account management of key recruitment agency relationships
- Development and participation in marketing and promotional activities
- Conduct market research and develop reports based on offshore market conditions and current student pipelines
- Maintain graduate student records including inquiries, applicants, and matriculants in EduCo Salesforce, G Suite, and other relevant student information systems
- Perform a data audit on a regular basis for all current students in each designated university partner who were recruited through the EduCo channel
- Serve as the intermediary person between EduCo finance and university accounts to ensure that all student records are up to date and tuition payments are recorded in EduCo Salesforce every semester
- Assist in maintaining all marketing materials updated with current information.
Grow, manage, and convert b-b and b-c international student application pipelines into enrolments
- Effectively develop application + student enrolment conversion pipeline through collaboration with offshore recruitment team and agents (b-b)
- Effectively develop student enrolment conversion pipeline through converting direct to student (b-c) leads which are generated and then passed onto this role.
Manage entire international student application and conversion cycles via Salesforce and university SIS systems
- Integrate and manage all student pipeline data into both Salesforce (EduCo-based) and university SIS systems
- Maintain all application submission processes and ensure that all data entered in university SIS are correct
- Liaise with the university contacts regarding missing EduCo tags in each report
- Perform updates in Salesforce regarding application and enrolment statuses
- Perform a weekly audit of all applicants for the two semester
- Identify key areas of conversion based on the student’s individual application status
- Work side by side with EduCo’s Manager of Conversion and Enrolment to schedule conversion activities exclusively for EduCo
- Work with the International Student Services team in each designated university partner to ensure the timely issuance of the student’s visa eligibility document (e.g., I-20 and/or Letter of Acceptance).
Account management of key recruitment agency relationships
- Maintain excellent relationships with priority recruitment agents in conjunction with the responsible EduCo Regional Manager in that particular global city or region
- Provide ongoing training, course information and relevant promotions for agents, in line with tiering system and counsellor incentive programs
- Monitor agent and student feedback and report to EduCo to assist process and service development
Marketing and promotion
- Participation in agent-, government- and institution-focused promotional events including seminars, interview sessions and college fairs
- Attend and represent EduCo university partners at industry networking functions
- Research and report on the effectiveness of marketing and promotional campaigns
- Contribute to development of EduCo university partners’ marketing materials including both print and web collateral
- Ensure all marketing and promotional activities and material comply with all relevant university branding requirements and expected standards.
Conduct market research and develop reports
- Compile regular b-b/b-c student recruitment reports to monitor student numbers against enrolment targets
- Gather feedback on market conditions including competitors, industry trends and opportunities for EduCo in to increase recruitment.
About You:
Qualifications, technical skills, and experience required for this role include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, International Relations, Foreign Language or Education
- Demonstrated history of engagement with international students and foreign cultures
- Essential to be geographically mobile and excited to spend two to three months per year on recruitment trips
- Highly driven, self-motivated performer with demonstrated capacity to meet and exceed expectations
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed ability to initiate and manage relationships across different cultures
- Ability to research, interpret and prepare reports and plans based on market data
- Familiarity with a range of software packages, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Three years + experience focused on b-b/b-c international student recruitment
- Three years + demonstrated successful international student recruitment and/or engagement with international student experience in the education industry.
- Knowledge of international education processes, government regulations and procedures relating to recruitment of international students
- History of achieving targets.
