Job description
CFO is accountable for the administrative, financial, risk management and operations of Elysian Capital Inc and it's entities. Functions include the development of financial and operational strategies, metrics tied to those strategies, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets.
Below are specific duties of this position;
Planning:
- Develops financial and tax strategies
- Develops and manages the annual operation budgeting processes and capital budget process
- Develops performance measures and monitoring systems that support the company's strategic direction
Operations:
- Manages any third parties to which company functions have been outsourced.
- Oversees the company's transaction processing systems. Specifically, AP, accounting, payroll, EMR and Billing systems
- Collaborates with chief operating officers in decision making
- Implements operational best practices
Financial Information:
- Oversees the issuance of financial reports
- Develops, and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Performs full cycle accounting and GAAP Compliance
- Develops KPIs and develops process to drive good financial based decisions
- Oversees financial systems implementations and upgrades
- Provides leadership through hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff.
Risk Management:
- Understands and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
- Constructs and monitors reliable control systems
- Ensures that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Ensures that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Report risk issues
Funding:
- Monitors cash balances (daily) and cash forecasts, including cash flow
- Arranges for any additional debt financing and equity financing
Third Parties:
- Manages relationships with investors, creditors, vendors and financial institutions
- Maintains banking relationships
- Represents the company with investment bankers and investors
