Job description

This temporary position will be used to help parks and recreation staff with events hosted by the city.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Duties and responsibilities may include monitoring athletic field usage, set-up and breakdown of special events, and/or cleaning of city properties and facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Cash handling and able to make change quickly and accurately preferred
• Ability to interact with the public courteously and enthusiastically
• Knowledgeable of event activities to respond to frequent questions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule consisting of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Previous experience working with the public preferred

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• CPR Certification preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS

• Acceptable eyesight (with or without corrections)
• Acceptable hearing (with or without aid)
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Ability to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and smell

• Work is outdoors and will be exposed to outside weather elements

Pay: $10.00 per hour
