The Designer will actively create original, imaginative, and engaging print assets across our LCG brand portfolio that will impact parents and children in playful and informative ways. Work collaboratively within the Creative team to create internal and external brand materials with an educational focus. Leverage ability to combine text, video, and photography to create powerful and impactful print and interactive content.
Essential Functions:
- Create graphics, illustrations, and layouts using computer programs.
- Design for educational content including curriculum materials, teacher and leader guided programs and activities, lesson planning and workbooks, employee-facing projects, branded collateral, and ancillary activities.
- Work with a creative team of various abilities to create internal and external educational and brand materials.
- Research upcoming projects to help create functional and interactive designs.
- Develop illustrative storyboards based on project requirements.
- Attend meetings and provide guidance and direction on key projects and initiatives.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet with key stakeholders and other staff to review deadlines and develop timelines.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
- BA degree in computer graphics, graphic design, art, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite products with an emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Experience in creating interactive PDF files.
- Ability to create for social, digital, and traditional media.
- Video/animation experience a plus.
- Proficient time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet established deadlines.
- Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
- Ability to showcase a creative portfolio with strong technical skills.
- Possess an artistic ability and a good understanding of color, texture, and light.
- Ability to think creatively to develop original ideas and bring them to life.
