We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.
The goal is to find someone who's schedule is fairly open and available, to either fit into the new schedule or to be able to work shifts as needed on per diem. Of course not many will be available every shift, every time, keep in mind hotels are 24/7/365. I would like to find someone who is able to work any of the 3 shifts (6:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm, 10:00pm-6:00am) and willing to pull overtime or cover shifts when the need rises.
As of right now we are looking to fill 2 openings. All shifts are 8 hours.
Option 1:
Thursday 10pm-6am
Friday 10pm-6am
Sunday 10pm-6am
Option 2:
Monday 6am-2pm
Thursday 6am-2pm
Friday 6am-2pm
Saturday 6am-2pm
Sunday 6am-2pm
**Please send message when you apply to let me know which shift you are more interested in filling, as I have a higher priority on filling the open morning shifts as of right now**
These are set schedules and will not change weekly unless there are circumstances that arise which make it impossible to maintain current schedule. You are allowed to voluntarily trade shifts with other employees during the week, as long as it is mutual and it doesn't incur unnecessary overtime pay.
Responsibilities
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
- Manage online and phone reservations
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
- Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
- Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
- Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Skills
- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like Visual Matrix or Choice Advantage
- Customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
