We are currently looking for experienced Sheetmetal / Iron Workers to join our team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
• Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts and rivets.
• Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks.
• Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites.
• Anchor parts, fasten seems or joints by bolting, riveting, or soldering.
• Unload and stack pre-fabricated steel using a crane to lift beams, girders, and columns into place.
• Stand beams or grinders to help position pieces that are being lifted.
• Align beams and grinders into position.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of the structural steel.
• Connect columns, beams, and grinders with bolts.
• Unload and stack prefabricated steel.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial building construction.
• Basic math skills in order to lay out, measure and mark guidelines on materials such as roofing panels with the use of calculators, dividers, scribes or rulers.
• Ability to use a wide range of hand tools and equipment.
• Able to lift heavy sheets onto roofs and move materials around.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
