What You’ll do as a Kent Kwik Deli Cook:

The Deli Team Member will oversee the day to day operation of first class guest service and food service in the restaurant. The team member will be responsible for properly preparing food orders and conveying food orders to our guests. Prompt food delivery to the guest is expected as well as insuring that all areas, including the hot food area, cold box, grill area, and the back of the house are clean at all times. This person will be expected to provide excellent guest service at all times, provide safe food, and will be a strong teammate.

• 1. Prepare high quality, delicious food following all local and brand food safety procedures and brand recipes.
• 2. Report to work on time in a clean, complete, proper uniform with a positive attitude ready to work. Remember a smile is part of the uniform.
• 3. Greet all guests with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning or Welcome to Kent Kwik”.
• 4. Be able to prepare all food and read tickets using proper, approved abbreviations in a timely manner.
• 5. Complete the position checklist while stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
• 6. Keep the store clean at all times, including but not limited to work station, bussing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning kitchen, storerooms, parking lot, dumpster area, bathrooms, and walls.
• 7. Bring all items of concern to the attention of the manager immediately, especially safety concerns and guest service complaints.
• 8. Know the menu, the daily features when applicable, and how to prepare each item correctly according to the operations manual.
• 9. Know your duties and the duties of coworkers to maximize teamwork throughout the day.
• 10. Know and follow the steps of service with each and every guest to maximize shift sales.
• 11. Practice all rules for safety food handling, cash security, and all other restaurant policies.
• 12. Excellent guest service skills.
• 13. Ability to communicate effectively with all restaurant staff.
• 14. “Can do” attitude and willingness to be at your best during your shift.
• 15. Ensure that each guest is completely satisfied during their visit. Guest satisfaction is your number one priority.
