The LMS Administrator/ Training Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing the advisory, technical and administrative skills necessary to improve performance and manage the logistics of training programs and projects within the Operations COE. He/She also manages, administers and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS) or assigned programs in the LMS.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains the Learning Management System (LMS), which includes, but is not limited to, assisting COE leaders with daily data entry, course set up and maintenance, online content management, course audits, audience creation and management, training records administration, electronic assessments, course and completion reports, system upgrades and resolving and responding to customer tickets as needed.
  • Develops and applies systems, controls, policies and procedures to effectively manage training operations and reduce operational costs.
  • Facilitates the development of integrated processes and systems for training operations to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Refines and maintains operational plans for training logistics.
  • Provides administrative support for training operations (e.g., communication with Points of Contact, tracking enrollment and attendance, training schedules and assignments, and performance evaluations).
  • Ensures training material for each training courses is prepared and available when needed.
  • Maintains training materials inventory, restocks as needed and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Assists with and coordinates the collaborative development of process changes, new logistic ideas and operational plans.
  • Works on assignments dealing with day-to-day operations and use the ChenMed LMS (OLIN).
  • Provides team support regarding technical expertise, problem resolution, troubleshooting, training and team facilitation.
  • Serves as a liaison between internal clients and Operations COE training logistics by building and maintaining relationships with internal staff/contractors and external customers/clients.
  • Performs other duties and training logistics-related activities as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and understanding of general training logistics principles, practices, techniques, processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of eLearning development programs such as Rise 360, Articulate Storyline, Prezi, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge SCORM 1.2 or 2004 packages
  • Working knowledge of Website development (HTML, CSS, XML)
  • Excellent written, verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as, excellent project management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong capabilities in teamwork, organization, prioritization and time management
  • Demonstrate a high degree of initiative in the management and maintenance of an operating plan concerning training logistics
  • Ability to work with multiple clients and with a range of stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to facilitate the development of new methods, procedures, services or operational concepts
  • Ability to rapidly master new technology, systems and tools
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems administration and management such as Totara, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard or LearnUpon
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally and nationwide up to 10% of the time
  • Spoken and written fluency in English

  • BA/BS degree in, Adult Learning/Education, Business Administration or a closely related discipline preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with operating training logistics in a corporate environment required
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience administrating a Learning Management System strongly preferred
  • Work experience in project management, process improvement desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
