Samaritan Health Services is seeking a Pediatrician to join our team in Albany, OR.

Job Specifics

• Cohesive well-established 9 physician team share patient panels and collaborate closely.
• Samaritan Albany General Hospital has a level 1+ nursery & 400 births per year.
• Clinic is located across the street from the hospital.
• Your choice of responsibilities, to include clinic work only (caring for children with chronic medical problems, and general office procedures), OR full range of pediatric inpatient and clinic work including stabilizing newborns.
• Nurse triage and evening clinic staffing mean call nights are quiet.
• Services offered by clinic include social worker, mental health specialist, asthma educator, care coordinator, and lactation support.
• Close relationships with community agencies and pediatric subspecialists
• Socioeconomically diverse patient population with a large percentage of publicly insured patients
• Opportunity to work with medical students and residents
• 34 patient contact hours weekly includes a combination of days, plus rotating evening clinic hours (3-8 p.m.)
• Shared call among colleagues
• Three pediatricians speak Spanish; we would welcome another Spanish speaker.

Job Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician
• BCLS Certified
• PALS Certified
• NRP Certified
• Children’s hospital – based residency preferred
• Should be comfortable working with an economically varied population
• Should possess excellent clinical skills, communication skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team oriented
• Eligibility to work in the United States
