About the Physician Liaison Role

The Physician Liaison will be a member of the marketing team in the central business office and report to the Chief Marketing Officer. The purpose of this role is to ensure that TDN and its practices are proactive in building relationships with our referral partners.

Key Responsibilities

The Physician Liaison will represent our dental providers in the community by reaching out and connecting with our referral partners to build strong partner relationships. The goal of this role is to create a pipeline of new patients for our dental specialists, including implant specialists, prosthodontists, periodontists, endodontists, orthodontists and oral surgeons.

In your first 180 days, you will have a ramp up period to build your database of referring physicians and build meaningful relationships on behalf of our providers. You will have ample support from the VP of Marketing and operations team to ensure your success. Your days will vary from visiting physician offices in the field and planning networking events, to sitting down to manage data, record your activities, write thank you notes and more.

In your second 180 days, you will have aggressive, but attainable, new patient goals to hit each month. You will review your activities and focus on what generates results.

  • Execute initiatives to build patient volume and favorable provider perceptions among internal and external referral streams.
  • Develop strong relationships with local community organizations and businesses.
  • Implement specific outreach, relationship building and marketing tactics to meet referral goals.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing communication with referring providers and/or their office staff, including routine or follow-up visits, emails, phone calls and special event planning.
  • Partner with our physicians to assist them in providing personal follow up thank you notes and phone calls. Close the loop on all referrals.
  • Maintain a database of records and track all outreach efforts in a customer relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Run reports in both an electronic medical record (EMR) and CRM system to monitor referrals through the patient lifecycle, identify trends, report on KPIs and more.
  • Effectively maintain relationships with current referral partners to ensure continued referrals to TDN.
  • Grow network of new referral partners by setting up phone calls and in-person meetings.
  • Survey local specialty dentists to increase the number of patient referrals to the TDN practices.Be the liaison for connecting TDN with the local dental healthcare community.
Requirements:

Skills

  • Detail-oriented and takes copious notes regarding interactions

  • Foundational knowledge of marketing best practices, community engagement and lead generation tactics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience & Education

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a business development role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a health care field in a communications position within a sales and marketing department. Direct contact with physicians and their staff strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or Healthcare-related field.
  • Ability to use software, including but not limited to CRM, EMR
  • Training in sales strongly preferred.
  • Dental care experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License as daily driving is a job requirement.
  • Ability to meet quarterly and annual quotas/goals.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position reports to the CMO
  • This position does not have any direct reports

Working Conditions

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks from one work site to another
  • Light work that requires moving and setting up objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Communicating to others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Operating a motor vehicle.

Location & Travel

  • This role is in our central business office in Tampa, Florida.
  • Work from home will be allowed on some days.
  • Travel will be required between our sites located across West Central Florida.

Position Type

This is a full-time position (40 hours) and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the potential for evening and weekend hours occasionally as required.

Salary

Base salary starting at $75,000 annually with potential for bonuses based on performance.
