PROCESS MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE II, PMG


SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing & Operations department is seeking a Process Maintenance Associate II. This position will maintain equipment, spare parts inventory, and complete repairs in support of GMP manufacturing operations. They will also maintain the documentation of that maintenance within guidelines set forth by Management to comply with cGMP requirements. This position will also utilize fundamental knowledge of at least one of the following: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic or refrigeration skills in performing assignments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled equipment maintenance, modifications, and repairs on a timely basis. Document repairs, adjustments, and replacement of equipment and components per cGMP standards as well as in accordance with procedures.
  • Complete emergency repairs when necessary to offset downtime and production delays.
  • Analyze equipment and systems, develop corrective actions to technical problems, and perform corrective actions.
  • Complete and understand training requirements on production equipment, maintenance documentation, safety, cGMPs and equipment operational SOPs.
  • Maintain and organize spare parts inventory.
  • Use of respirator and full body PPE will be required to perform some repairs around hazardous chemicals.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician in a structured maintenance program; preferred experienced in a pharmaceutical, bio pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
  • Basic Knowledge in at least one of the following, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and/or basic laboratory and pharmaceutical production equipment (lyophilizers, freezers, refrigerators, tanks, mixers, air operated diaphragm & centrifugal pumps, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, SOPs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Able to maintain accurate and legible records.
  • Good interpersonal skills, customer service skills and able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Must have the following personal attributes: personal accountability, integrity and trust, good work ethic, sound judgment, intellectual honesty, eagerness to learn and continuously improve, and a dedication to quality.
