Who You Are

You are a dedicated nurse who encourages and supports clients and their families with assessments, nursing diagnosis, health education, referrals, and advocacy. You will analyze and interpret assessment data to develop nursing diagnosis and care and will assist clients to establishing goals and outcomes and implement appropriate interventions and referrals. You will carry a caseload of 25 clients and plan and facilitate homes visits and help link families with community agencies for needed services to increase their self-sufficiency, skills, education and employment opportunities while decreasing risk factors. You will recruit eligible first-time mothers and high-risk multiparous women into the program and promote public awareness. Your role is important to the lives of the mother's and families in the program.

This career is for you if you have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or active plan to obtain BSN.
  • WA State RN license.
  • Valid WA state driver's license and current automobile insurance.

It'll be a bonus if you have:

  • Two (2) years of Public Health Nursing experience, Maternal-Child Health, or similar.
