Ionetix is a growing company, with revolutionary cyclotron technology. We enable healthcare providers to provide highly accurate cardiac PET imaging, offering the highest quality of diagnostic capability of nuclear imaging services to implement and improve cardiac PET programs.

Ionetix is seeking a full-time QC Production Tech within the University of Kansas Medical Center. The position generally works a Monday - Friday schedule from 4:00am - noon. This position will have the ability to work with the newest, advanced technology to operate the cyclotron and purification unit to manufacture and release PET products, fully intergrating the tracer production at the point of imaging.

Our manufacturing team builds our own, proprietary cyclotron. Then our field service team handles the installations at our Ionetix site locations. You will then manage and operate the cyclotron overseeing your site location.

In this role, you are a member of the Site Operations Team as a QC Production Technician and will use your skills and knowledge to:

  • Operate the cyclotron and related equipment.
  • Monitor and interpret production via a computerized system.
  • Assist and execute validation of analytical methods and quality controls.
  • Perform quality control tests, prepare solutions, and perform general laboratory and facility maintenance.
  • Maintain raw-material records and internal inventory tracking.
  • Practice and follow FDA and ALARA radiation safety procedures.
  • Survey and wipe the outgoing radiative delivery containers.
  • Execute and document Installation, Operational and Performance Qualifications (IOPQ) protocols, calibrations, and the documentation of procedures.

Ideal Candidates will possess

  • A degree in a science field such as chemistry, microbiology, pharmaceutical, medical technology, or related technical experience in a similar setting, such as manufacturing pharmaceuticals or radiopharmacy
  • Prior knowledge of cyclotron operations is desired
  • Strong working knowledge of equipment installation process and application
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail, and general computer skills
