Our Center for Women & Infants at Saint Joseph Hospital was designed exclusively for new moms and babies. Every inch of this special floor is dedicated to the care, comfort and well-being of new mothers and infants. With 18 expansive labor and delivery rooms with large jetted tubs, a dedicated elevator that goes directly to the floor and 42 private rooms that serve as a home away from home after childbirth, Saint Joseph Hospital is a great place for families. Our Mom/Baby Postpartum and Antepartum RNs possess expertise in caring for babies post-birth, working together with our Labor & Delivery staff to help with the transition from Labor & Delivery to Recovery. We also have a Level III NICU on-site. We are proud to be a Baby Friendly Hospital and a private teaching hospital.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required
• Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
• Degree will be verified.
• One year of Mom/baby/postpartum experience is strongly preferred but will consider 1 year of acute inpatient hospital experience and train.
