Job Title: Senior Operations Services Specialist

Overview:

Responsible for the operational duties of the credit union branches, operations services, virtual services, and member service areas. Requires a higher degree of experience and skill set. Ability to identify problems and present solutions and improvise as needed. Effectively estimate and manage time spent on a variety of tasks. Communicate with ease across all levels of management, peers, teams, and departments. Ensure and maintain regulatory compliance and adhere to all Credit Union policies and procedures.


What You Will Do:

  • Complete consumer loan maintenance to include recasting, complex manual adjustments, interest adjustments, and waiving of late fees.
  • Complete consumer loan adjustments to include due date exceptions and GAP (Guaranteed Auto Protection) adjustments and refunds.
  • Responsible for processing incoming mail requests, including but not limited to account closures, deposits, and loan payments.
  • Ensure all required deceased documents have been received and reviewed for accuracy before disbursement of funds and closure of account.
  • Perform service events and emails assigned by TSC, branches, and supporting departments in a timely manner.
  • Provide frontline staff support with all IRA related processes and procedures.
  • Open new IRA accounts and process RMD (Required Mandatory Distributions), death distributions/inherited IRA, tax reporting corrections, and add/deletion of beneficiaries.
  • Complete Online New Account Opening (GRO Platform) suspected fraud/research, and departmental escalations regarding suspicious activity.
  • Complete W-9 (TIN mismatch) by tracking forms, updating accounts, sending out follow-up letters, and sending out B-notices.
  • Review daily True Checks reports for accuracy.
  • Complete ATM Settlement by pulling reports for all ATM terminals, subtract/add any returns/adjustments, generate Recaps and JV for all terminals, and compare with EzAdmin reports.
  • Support Operation Loss Mitigation Specialist in reviewing negative share queue, placing liens on shares, adding/removing block controls, sending notice letters and monitoring unpaid/paid Negative Share Cards.
  • Perform ACH origination, corrections, returns, notifications, and reconciliation or ACH Origination GL.
  • Complete Department balancing / daily closing, to include exception reports, balancing of automatic distribution checks, processing of remittance exception payments and completion of mobile deposit exceptions.
  • Assist in reviewing of Mobile/ATM deposits and completes necessary adjustments, to include returns, holds, other adjustments and escalations to FIU department for further review. Performs in the capacity of subject matter expert for escalations to FIU.
  • Assist with reviewing Verification of Deposit (VOD) requests, to include performing validity assessments.
  • Assist with system testing for GRO updates and releases that directly affect the online application workflow.
  • Assist with Operations Services Help Desk with escalated calls.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with Credit Union staff. Responds to internal and external inquiries and maintenance requests (e.g., answers emails, phone calls and service events). Communicates with team members as needed to complete service requests. Escalates red flag alerts that are uncovered through new online accounts to FIU department as required. Maintains a high degree of integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy of information.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. Completes assigned special projects. Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. Attendance and punctuality are within acceptable standards. Available to work during Credit Union’s core business hours.


What We Are Looking For
:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of similar or related experience.
  • High School diploma (or GED).
  • MS Office suite advanced experience (especially Word and Excel).
  • Solid math skills and bookkeeping abilities.
  • Excellent communication and public relations skills. Ability to work well under pressure.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.


The base pay range for this position is: $20.64 - $25.80 hourly
