JOB SUMMARY

This role facilitates the strategic and foundational creation of value propositions, positioning statements, portfolio architectures, customer journeys, content strategies and the translation into campaign briefs for tactics like videos, web pages etc. Development of learning objectives and interviews to collect competitive and customer research, identifying the implications.

This is a key role on the Brand Strategy Team, working directly with our clinical, sales, regulatory, divisional, and marketing team members to understand a variety of healthcare product related topics and lead the team through the process of building brand foundational tools and marketing campaign strategies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning:

  • Transforms research and insights into clear and succinct brand foundational tools: value proposition, positioning, personas, portfolio architecture
  • Applies a general knowledge of the media landscape, to marketing messaging plans, customer journey development and go-to-market planning maps
  • Builds strong partnerships with business owners throughout the entire development process
  • Creates campaign strategies that deliver measurable business goals
  • Develops sitemaps for web, including SEO strategy

Translating strategies:

  • Transforms insights and strategies into clear, compelling creative briefs and working closely with creative teams to develop work that makes an impact
  • Identifies the intersection of what is valuable to both the business and the customer
  • Reviews analytics, spotting patterns and trends, drawing conclusions and recommending action

Driving creative development:

  • Partners closely with creatives to develop and present ideas that help the business achieve specific goals, pulling the strategies through the executional tactics
  • Crafts the narrative for key business presentations, with an eye for storytelling that brings customers on a clear and compelling journey
  • Flexible, able to change course and adjust ideas to address new feedback and guidance

This is a high-level individual contributor role - management responsibilities limited to leading day-to-day activities and outcomes of a group of employees. May be involved in hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field.

Work Experience

  • At least 8 years of brand strategy experience with a passion for contributing to great work, solving business problems, and unearthing opportunities for B2B businesses.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience building, launching, and managing B2B and B2C content marketing plans.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Some travel might be required for business purposes (within state and out of state).

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in reading and applying content web analytics.
  • Experience in facilitating positioning work and foundational brand tools (value props, product architecture).
  • Experience interpreting marketing direction and developing strategy for multiple clients and/or brands.
