2ND SHIFT hours are Monday through Friday from 4p.m to 12:30a.m.-occasional overtime is a possibility
~~• Prepare hardware for power transformer for testing; prepare wire connections, prepare cable connections, mechanical assembly and prepare a “safe” test environment.
- Use available test procedures and assembly data to prepare setup. Assist in testing, electrical, and mechanical disassembly of each transformer unit after test completion.
- Prepare power transformer for tests; material staging and assembly per check sheet, complete needed MRP/ERP computer transactions, basic computer data entry.
- Change transformer configuration as required to complete additional/next test; read shop paperwork, drawings, mechanical/electrical assembly, staging tooling, staging parts/subassemblies, etc.
- Maintain test equipment calibration and calibration systems.
- Operate cranes, power lifts and other material moving equipment as required.
- Support and assist the Quality/Production areas as needed.
- Perform work under the guidance and direction of the Test Lab Engineer
- Multiple years’ experience as Electrician or service technician (high voltage equipment and/or utility industry preferred)
- Developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Developed math and electrical engineering skills.
