The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


This position will be in support of HJF's Travel Department.

Responsibilities:
HJF is seeking a Travel Coordinator I who under the direction of the Travel Coordinator IV, performs a full range of travel logistics, including coordinating air, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and registration fees for various meetings and conferences. This is the first of four levels in the Travel Coordinator series.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates travel arrangements by booking requested air, rail, hotel, rental car, airport shuttle reservations and other travel related items; verify documentation is approved, correct project, task, award is assigned, and agenda or detailed purpose of travel is attached.
  • Prepays travel arrangements for government employees by contacting travel vendors directly to pay with corporate card or direct bill. Generate Payment for Travel from a Non-Federal Source (PTNS) letter needed for government travel.
  • Communicate travel arrangements to customers and resolve issues.
  • Enter new vendor information and process electronic payment requests.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications:

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 0-2 years experience required.
