Who We Are: The Guidance Center is a non-profit community behavioral healthcare provider serving the communities of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Sebastian and Scott Counties in Western Arkansas.

Who We Are Looking For: We have an immediate opening for a Psych Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who is experienced and able to work independently. Previous care or working with behavioral health population experience is a definite plus but not an absolute requirement.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Education: Master's Degree in Nursing
• Licensure: APRN licensed in Arkansas, RN licensed in Arkansas, prescriptive authority, including DEA certificate preferred but not required
• Valid State Driver's License
• Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, and therapeutic treatment

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses, independently or part of a healthcare team
• Participate in the formulation of the patients Master Treatment plan
• Assess physical and psychiatric health of a patient and formulate measures to meet the patient needs
• Chart clinical observation, evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always
