Job description
Keeps premises apartment building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following; however, other duties may be assigned as needed. The following list is only a partial list and cannot encompass all of the essential duties and responsibilities of the Groundskeeper position.
- Consistently maintain optimum curb appeal throughout the property.
- Follow special instructions given by management.
- Know the location of all water valves and water meter cutoffs.
- Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and activities as outlined by management.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order.
- Routinely inspect grounds and common areas for any problems or needed repairs, report to management immediately
- Litter and debris is to be removed from the property daily. Debris generated from plants, such as fallen leaves, needs to be blown or raked from the planter beds to maintain a neat and clean appearance.
- All paved surfaces affected by mowing operations need to be swept or blown clean.
- Sweep and/or wash down refuse areas after trash pickup.
- Sweep and/or wash down walkways and parking areas as needed.
- Report any burned out exterior light bulbs to management and replace if instructed.
- Keep storage areas clean and neat. Workshop/ storage areas are to be secured and locked at all times.
- Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, maintenance policies and activities as outlined by management. Wear provided equipment, when necessary, i.e. goggles, back brace, gloves, kneepads, etc.
- Assist the management staff in all areas requested or needed.

Education and/or Experience :
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills :

Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
