Location: This is a remote position


Position Summary: ClearStar is seeking an experienced executive responsible for closing new client growth opportunities across the background screening and medical information space. This role will reward high performance individuals that generate new business bookings and exceed their quota.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Close new business opportunities, generating revenue bookings that exceed quota
  • Create, manage, and convert a pipeline of new business opportunities from self-created, inbound marketing, and partner generated, leads
  • Learn and follow ClearStar’s customer focused opportunity management process and value messaging framework
  • Identify trigger and compelling events within the prospect base that align with ClearStar’s defined ideal customer profile, focusing on prospects with a high propensity to buy
  • Quantify and speak to value, business impact, and ROI vs. selling technical features and function
  • Build credibility and position yourself as a trusted business advisor with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive environment, anticipate and uncover potential objections, and position ClearStar’s differentiators accordingly
  • Manage a portfolio of new business opportunities, prioritize
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization
  • Managing a high volume of accounts with a strategy on prioritization of your accounts and time
  • Researching and understanding various lines of business and personas

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct, consultative, sales experience, preferably for companies operating in the background screening, medical information services, ATS (Applicant Tracking System), or HRIS (HR Information Systems) industry ecosystem
  • Consistent achievement of year over year quota attainment in new revenue
  • Client partner – ability to prospect, create and manage executive relationships of medium and large organizations, especially of matrix reporting and governing structure, ability to achieve the state of trusting client relationship.
  • Ability to develop solid territory management and business plan, with strong knowledge and experience managing the “sales math” required to achieve quota from top of funnel leads to closed opportunities.
  • Team player – proven capability in engaging and collaborating with key stakeholders from cross-functional teams (Operations, Customer Care, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance) to achieve client success.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills – demonstrate knowledge of ClearStar’s services and solutions, and ability to present ideas effectively; articulate processes when required, and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, while also have the ability to present and articulate processes when required. Lead regular business and service review calls with clients effectively and satisfactorily.
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and entrepreneurial acumen.
  • Growth mindset, strong problem-solving skills, ability to overcome objections, perseverance to achieve desired outcomes in the face of uncertainty and challenges
  • Ability to work on tight timelines, well organized, detail oriented, adaptable to changing requirements/ work environment.
