We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our team of talented professionals.

The Accountant will be directly responsible to the CFO and will work directly with appropriate fiscal staff, Program Directors and Supervisors in the analysis of all finance matters pertaining to assigned programs as well as general ledger maintenance. This position is responsible for bank reconciliation’s on all checking accounts. The Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring all data is properly entered, in a timely and organized fashion, into the general ledger module of the accounting software. Regular working hours are expected to be Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; however, specific tasks and/or processes will require work to be done during non-normal working hours.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or a minimum of a high school diploma and two (2) years of general ledger experience or other acceptable related business field.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Additional requirements include: a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our staff members and the programs they represent.
  • Must have the ability to engage and maintain relationships with staff members, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other programs and other agencies, effective interpersonal communication skills, the ability to assess and intervene within complex accounting and finance systems.
  • Must exhibit a willingness to be helpful, flexible, patient and creative.
