JOB HOLDER’S PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

To deliver sound financial support to achieve our goals, whilst achieving a totally professional integrated service delivery in the Middle East & China. Provide and deliver accurate information to operational and corporate teams. To provide a first-class financial reporting and accounting service to the company acting under the direction of the Accounting Operations Director, Corporate Controller, and the Director of Operations (EMEA & APAC).

Assist the company in the delivery of its key objectives in compliance with the quality management systems. To provide an effective, efficient and professional support service to all internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Produce and compile monthly, mid-year, and annual forecasting and budgeting as required.
  • Perform and review complex journal entries, monthly and annual financial reporting activities, and special projects as assigned
  • Perform and review high risk account reconciliations for the payroll liabilities in a timely manner.
  • Support internal activities related to annual external financial audits, and filing of financials in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, statutory requirements, or management
  • Oversee the engagement of auditors and the audit cycles of the region, ensuring that external reporting and audit requirements are satisfied efficiently, effectively, and timely
  • Organize and pull audit sample support in order to meet regulatory deadlines
  • Work cross functionally with teams in all regions, including Corporate & Operations Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Human Resources, and Legal
  • Support operations’ performance of billing functions within the region to ensure accurate and timely client billings, which includes resolution of billing and accounts receivable issues.
  • Performing research and provide necessary data for Project Managers, Area Managers/Managing Principals, Regional Operations Director and others regarding project financial status, which includes information and updates to Working Forecast, KPI’s, staffing, accounts receivable and other legal/claims risks
  • Perform accounting research and document conclusions on behalf of the company
  • Participate in a proactive continual improvement environment within department, intended to refine internal processes and align with best practices
  • Support system upgrades and implementations, and oversee in system troubleshooting, testing, and related functions.
  • This role will include managing all the items above within the region, and other subsidiaries (as assigned) including but not limited to China, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia
Qualifications


Characteristics of a successful Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • CPA or similar designation, or master’s degree in related field
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience required.
  • Must be a team player, willing to step into the wider team roles when required
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of financial and non -financial people
  • A firm but fair leader and experienced manager of people
  • Detail oriented with an analytical mindset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Strong relationship building skills, the ability to establish credibility quickly with a demanding group of stakeholders. A good influencer with high levels of emotional professional intelligence
  • Structured and organized in their approach
  • Skilled at financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with WIP and project accounting
  • Understanding of percent complete revenue recognition, foreign currency, intercompany settlement, and principles of consolidation under USGAAP and IFRS is preferred
  • Ability to project a positive, welcoming and professional attitude at all times
  • Able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines with competing priorities
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
  • High proficiency in MS Office especially Excel
  • Previous experience with Oracle EBS, and/ Hyperion or similar software
