As a Accounting Specialist Senior within PNC's Finance organization, you may be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Cleveland, OH, Gaithersburg, MD, Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL or Birmingham, AL.

This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. Preferred locations are listed in this requisition. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely. Additional locations may be considered.

This role is within the SEC Reporting Team with an emphasis on climate change reporting.

• Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Assist in the development of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosures within our SEC filings in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements. This includes but is not limited to climate change (financial metrics, scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions), human capital, etc.
• Assist in the development and enhancement of a control framework and risk environment within PNC to support the ESG related disclosures.
• Assist in the review of other climate change and ESG reports such as the Corporate Responsibility and Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures reports.
• Work closely with internal business partners (within Finance and across the organization) to obtain support for specific ESG related disclosures in our SEC filings.

Job Description

Provides accounting, reporting and analytical expertise in support of a business function or business unit.
Provides specialized accounting, financial reporting, accounting research and control oversight for the company.
Creates accounting memoranda and various specialized reports for internal and external use.
Completes month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, and subsidiary regulatory reporting, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
Supports and assists accounting staff in the development of their professional skills.

Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance – Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and ability to implement business processes required to ensure compliance with its tenets.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
