We are: Cannabis vertically integrated company with headquartered in Stoneham, Massachusetts and operations in six states and growing

We are seeking:

Finance/Accounting Associate - contract position; ~30 hrs. per week

In Person - Stoneham, MA office

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Theory Wellness is a leading provider of craft cannabis. Theory Wellness is committed to offering qualifying patients and consumers a wide variety of the very best therapeutic cannabis and cannabis-infused products, dispensed in a welcoming environment.

Theory Wellness, Inc. is looking for an experienced, competent Finance/Accounting Associate to assist the Finance Department on a contract basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Review, process, and enter vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy
• Assist with the weekly check run and review of AP aging reports
• Review and prepare cash reconciliations
• Maintain company wide capital expenditures
• Assist with monthly intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Maintain & support electronic files
• Receipt/record retention for various corporate accounts
• Monitor & support the department’s inboxes
• Support members of the Finance Department. on various projects as needed
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
• Various office responsibilities: mail, scheduling, etc.

Requirements are:

• 2+ years of experience working in a corporate finance setting, bookkeeping experience preferred
• Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of assignments.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/background check prior to employment

Experience in:

• Excel
• QuickBooks Online
• Google platform

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
