Accounts Payable Accountant | Contract | Winston Salem, NC

Main job objective - Mission:

The administration of all accounts payable processes for our client, to include vendor AP monitoring, invoice processing, payments and vendor inquiries, assistance with monthly closing activities and general support of other accounting activities as required by the business.

Main responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

· Processes all invoices for payment utilizing VIM and SAP.

· Processes payment runs utilizing SAP and bank platform.

· Initiate AP vendor master file changes.

· Works closely with plant purchasing and operations team to ensure all AP issues are accurately addressed in a timely manner to allow for prompt processing of purchase orders and invoices.

· Performs designates month end activities to include accruals and clearing interim accounts.

· Supports other accounting activities as needed by the department

· Establish contingency plans to support the business continuity.

Professional qualifications and knowledge:

· Associates degree in accounting or a related field preferred

· Minimum 4 years of AP experience

· SAP experience is required

· Intermediate Excel experience required
