Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. This position works closely and reports to the Accounting Manager and handles all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Dallas, Texas area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.Key responsibilities
- Provide customer service to internal business partners
- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Perform full-cycle A/P
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Great attention to detail
- Well-founded grasp of Multiple Vendors
- Practical knowledge of Form 1099
- Coding experience
- Quality experience with Microsoft Excel
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Knowledge of Batch Processing
- Enter Vendor Invoices experience
- Enter Vendor Invoices experience
- Earlier work involving SAP CRM
- Proven knowledge of Process Vendor Invoices
- Wide ranging experience with SAP Business Intelligence
- General familiarity with Reconcile Vendor Statements
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
