JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Clerk is to perform a variety of accounting duties to include calculating, posting, verifying documents, producing and verifying department records, and guest service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with Company's policies, practices, and procedures.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and analyze all adjustments (debit/credit), send correspondence to City Ledger accounts and review all posting and adjustments processed into the computer.
- Verify payments check for proper application
- Review invoices and check requests
- Sort and match invoices and check requests
- Set invoices up for payment
- Process check requests
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments
- Reconciliation of payments
- Prepare analysis of accounts
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Maintain file on vendors
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Prepare and produce monthly reports
- Assist in month end closing
- Assisting with other accounting functions on an as-needed basis
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
One to two years accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications
- Proficient in data entry and management
- 1-3 years accounts payable and general accounting experience
