A position is available in the Accounting department in Bridgeport for an individual with a minimum of one to two years general office experience preferably in an accounts payable environment. Business or Accounting degree preferred. Position requires good customer relations and verbal/written communication skills and strong Excel skills. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Applicants must be able to perform the following primary duties:

• Match invoices with purchase order receiving reports. Check for accuracy of account numbers, quantities ordered and delivered, price verification and proper approval. Ensure all discounts are taken and payments are made in a timely manner.
• Confer with various internal departments and vendors on any exceptions on either invoices, purchase orders or receiving reports.
• Prepare all invoices for all outgoing bill payments including direct entering of information into the A/P system.
• Prepare Positive Pay Report for check run and ACH Report.
• Prepare customer service refund checks.
• Assist in the processing of open charges, direct purchases, etc., that do not require purchase orders when applicable.
• Assist external auditors.
• Assist in special projects as directed.

After 3 months of successful employment, this role will be eligible for a hybrid schedule (3 days office/2 days remote).

Job is classified as an exempt position with a weekly salary range of $833.20 to $1,003.90.
