The Wayne County Probate Court is looking for a Clerk VI-Service Clerk. This position, in accordance with laws, court rules, and court policies and procedures, will initiate cases and process documents of intermediate to advanced complexity and will adjudicate specific pleadings as a Deputy Probate Register.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, is preferred. Associate's degree will be considered. Related work experience is also preferred. Strong communication and analytical skills for problem-solving are crucial. Flexibility, motivational skills, excellent attendance, a positive attitude are indispensable attributes for this position.
The successful candidate must also be knowledgeable in all hardware and software applications in use by the Court including Microsoft Office 365 with proficiency in Excel and Word. Working with other employees, the successful applicant should be able to provide input for potential enhancements to the current system and development of methods and procedures to help the Court effectively manage its business operations. This position is open to all Wayne County Probate Court employees, but qualified GAA members will have preference.
Annual Salary: $43,672.00
