Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor

Summary: Experienced Accounts Payable professional who works under minimum supervision; an integral part of accounting team working with support staff and accounting management.

General Responsibilities:

• Review high volume of accounts payable invoices and expense vouchers
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly AP runs and manual check disbursements in accordance with approved payment schedule.
• Assist with Vendor Management
• Reconcile vendor statements and research past due items
• Process vendor credit application
• Monitors AP email accounts
• Review and notate sales and use tax information
• Assist with yearly processing of 1099s and accurate set up of vendors eligible for 1099s
• Assist in audit requests assigned to the AP team
• Assist Manager with special projects as needed

Required Experience:

• Associates Degree in business preferred
• 7+ years of professional experience in Accounts Payable required
• 2+ years of supervisory experience with Accounts Payable or similar team
• Experience with multi-company processing
• Solid knowledge of Accounting and Month End process
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and adjust schedule as needed to meet department deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet deadlines
• Must be detailed oriented, organized, and handle various assignments
• Overtime as required
• Experience in the Engineering industry is a plus
• Experience with ERP (especially BST) and project-based systems is a plus
