Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. The strongest candidates for this position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. If you are a self-starter with high attention to detail, you will be a good fit for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position, which handles 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Edina, Minnesota area.Major responsibilities
- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
- Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers
- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
- Execute a number of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
- Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
- Test documents and codes
- Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
- Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Expertise in 10 Key Skills
- General familiarity with Code Invoices
- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Practical knowledge of Computer Databases
- Wide ranging experience with Brand Promotions
- Data entry experience
- Quality experience with new accounts
- Good understanding of Marketing Promotions
- Proficiency in Computer Data Entry
- Earlier work involving Marketing Promotions
- Experience with SAP
