This position is located in Charlotte, NC and can be either Flexible or Remote.

  • Provides business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit.
  • Play a leading role in a cross-functional team of Life Actuarial Implementation and Support analysts responsible for the following:
  • Respond to inquiries from product managers, service delivery and other areas of Equitable requiring validation of policy values from illustration, issue or administrative systems.
  • Provide ongoing manual support of policy values for functions not supported by production systems.
  • Maintain, manage, and report inquiry to assure required SLA on response and to create historical record of the nature of the inquiries and resolution.
  • Provide review and signoff for Quality assurance on validation resulting in complex actuarial calculations.

The base salary range for this position is $54,000- $81,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years hands on work experience in Individual Life Insurance. Previous experience performing or validating calculations a plus.
  • Computer skills, expertise working with and creating Excel spreadsheet models to perform calculations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid interpersonal/relationship management skills, able to foster work relationships within the immediate team and with business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Math, Finance or information systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of life product Actuarial calculations or familiarity understanding Actuarial specifications.
  • 2+ years Experience with Life Insurance calculations in various illustration and administrative systems across a range of product types.
  • Previous experience performing or validating calculations a plus.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users.
