Job description

Plan, schedule and organizing daily activities for Department Head and less experienced clerical staff if applicable.

Screen, evaluate and set priorities for visitors and other contacts and provide appropriate direction.

Research information, discuss policies with department managers and maintain all departmental manuals including policies, procedures, and job descriptions.

Prepare department statistics in various areas such as employee and patient incidents and assists in preparing reports.

Coordinate and schedule all meetings and appointments.

Prepare and maintain purchase requisitions, personnel action forms, and work orders for office repairs. Ensure supplies levels are maintained.

Function as a liaison between the supervisor and other hospital staff.

Maintain confidential records for the department and staff.

Handle correspondence, including typing letters and reports.

May assist in managing all payroll activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-
Associate Degree preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years office experience, preferably in medical office or hospital.

Specific experience in department assigned is preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite literacy.

Good interpersonal skills.

Able to multi-task and is organized.

Position requires prolonged periods of sitting and use of a computer and screen viewing throughout the working day .
- Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
