Administrative Assistant
General Purpose:
Con-Tech Manufacturing is looking to hire a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This person will handle various day to day operations and office tasks. This position is flexible with hours.
Duties:
- Answering phones and responding to vendor and customer inquiries
- Creating customer invoices and processing payments
- Office duties print/scan/copy jobs, mail sorting
- Entering invoices for payment
- Run occasional errands for the two offices
- Remain flexible and perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Decision Making and Efficiency: This position requires the ability to make independent decisions daily with limited daily direction. The candidate must be able to identify the best way to handle specific tasks and improve processes for completing tasks. Utilizing and determining the most efficient methods for completing tasks is expected.
- Collaboration and Self-Motivation: The ability to work both with a team and independently is required. Collaboration is common in this role and will often be necessary. Communicating effectively with administration and coworkers is essential for collaboration. Applicant should be self-motivated and able to work efficiently and productively both with a team and with limited daily direction.
- Prioritization and Organization: The ability to organize thoughts and prioritize duties as assigned. You must not only keep yourself organized, but also help others organize their projects. Applicant is expected to identify and work towards business goals set personally and by supervisors. By keeping an open line of communication, the Administrative Assistant in this position will be able to better prioritize the most important tasks in the company.
- Communication and Basic Math Skills: Spelling, punctuation, and writing are essential to the success of the candidate in this role. Possess effective communication skills in person, on the phone, and through email; must present and communicate in a professional manner. This candidate must also be able to use basic math to organize information in spreadsheets and keep an inventory of supplies.
Qualifications:
- Driven to learn more about the industry
- Ability to identify and work towards business goals set personally and by supervisors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: comfortable using Windows computer systems
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Prior administrative experience is a plus
