General Responsibilities
The Administrative Grants Coordinator is responsible for implementing and coordinating the Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF) at Howard Community College.

Work Performed
  • Coordinate, manage, and support CCCPDF daily activities to ensure that grants funds are spent as directed by MSDE
  • Prepare yearly CCCPDF grant proposal and submit on or before the deadline
  • Track grant expenditures and submit required reports and documents on or before specified deadlines. Prepare quarterly and final billing and progress reports
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff involved in the implementation of the CCCPDF and serve as an advocate for grant recipients both internally and with MSDE.
  • Recruit new grant recipients by coordinating yearly mailings, outreach events, and classroom visits.
  • Develop CCCPDF orientation and information materials, disseminate materials, and execute individual and group meetings to support continuing and new recipients
  • In collaboration with the Office of Admissions and Advising, assist students in preparing and updating professional development plans, scheduling and registration, and course completion
  • Conduct group and individual meetings to ensure timely completion of new and continuing applications for grant recipients

Other Knowledge Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study; proficiency in word processing: and use of spreadsheet and database software. excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students, prior experience with Colleague and Student Planner preferred.
