Position Title: Admissions Strategy Associate
Reports to: Admissions Strategist, CRM Focus

Job Description:
The Admissions Strategy Associate primary responsibility is to drive admissions revenue and exceptional guest experiences through strategic initiatives for our partner attractions. The Admissions Strategy Associate will centrally support SSA’s Admissions partners both onsite and remotely.
As a critical part of the Admissions Stakeholder team, this role is responsible for providing strategic input focused on driving attendance, revenue, and guest experience. The Admissions Strategy Associate will implement and continually monitor admissions strategies and best practices across all admission product sales channels. Admissions products include tickets, memberships, passes, packages, retail and food items, public ticketed events including, special events and more.

Responsibilities may consist of (but not limited to):
Key Responsibility Pillars
People
  • Maintain relationships with multiple teams (e.g., SSA Group Admissions HQ, SSA Group Information Technology, SSA Group & Partner Attraction Staff) to ensure that strategic initiatives are completed in an efficient and transparent manner.
  • Work with attraction partner staff (e.g., CEO, CFO, Director of Development), onsite Guest Experience Managers and General Managers to understand business performance and opportunities to grow attendance and revenue.
Strategy - Mission Driven
  • Along with support and input from the Admissions Stakeholder team, identify specific partner business needs, develop a solution, and present for approval. Ensures clear communication of requirements to affected teams for implementation, and measures results of ongoing strategic initiatives. Strategic initiatives include, but are not limited to:
  • Annual Admissions Strategic Plans
  • New product creation, including packages
  • Existing program redesigns
  • Pricing and product models
  • Work with the Data Analyst in the review of key business drivers and performance indicators, providing regular status updates and actionable proposals to the onsite SSA team, attraction partner and central Admissions team to influence decision-making.
  • Responsible for assisting in the creation of annual budgets, as well as assessing performance to budget.
Growth
  • Develops expertise in a particular area of admissions strategy and operations, creating toolkits to impact that area of business, including core frameworks, standard processes and analytic reporting.
  • Track and communicate key industry trends, providing analysis and actionable insights to help central Admissions team assess potential new strategic initiatives.
Operations
  • Works closely with onsite teams, SSA Group Admissions HQ and SSA Group Information Technology teams to ensure that the operational impact of a strategy is as efficient as possible and well understood by all involved parties.
  • Regularly assesses initiatives and programs to ensure that they continue to be operationally efficient.
Social Responsibility & Culture
  • Supports unit in being an example for Company & Partner guidelines with regard to Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
  • Supports SSA in driving community effort through engagement activities and focus on opportunities of giving back.
  • Ensures a collaborative environment that while highly planned and organized is prepared for unexpected changes and is agile in reacting to changes.
  • Promote an inclusive & supportive approach in all projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or Business preferred (MBA a plus) or combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years in Admissions Product, Strategy and Operations experience
  • A demonstrated proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Ticketing, Retail & Food POS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including authoring marketing communications.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the calendar year, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. or more as needed; if accommodation is needed, employee may work with People Department and Direct Report through this.
