POSITION DETAILS

Looking for a candidate who can teach and have a strong background in one or more of the following: Sports, Art, Dance, Minecraft, Science, Engineering, Robotics, Technology, or Animation, during the 2022-2023 school year in Fillmore. You will be required to travel and carry materials provided to different locations. Be a part of an exciting, enrichment program nurturing K-8th graders in advancing their abilities and providing them with one-of-a-kind experience you can't get anywhere else. If you are interested in becoming a teacher, working in STARs after-school setting is a great place to start!*

* Substitute Position:

You must be able to drive where you are needed for the day, this means you go to one school site. You won't be driving all day, but you will be going to a school site where the site staff has called out.

• The hours are 2:15-5:45 pm Monday-Friday
• $35 per hour

• Location: Fillmore

*More hours available if willing to go to Santa Paula and Thousand Oaks.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Experience teaching K-8th grade students

• Must commit to the 2022-2023 School Year

• Must have Reliable Transportation

• Must be punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, responsible, and flexible

• Dedicated to children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently Lead groups of up to 20 students from TK-8th grade

• Attend Teacher Training where you will be trained in Classroom Management

• Instructors are expected to arrive on time and provide an educational, safe and enjoyable class experience for students

• Creative, artist thinking with the ability to do so under time constraints

• Create curriculum's and execute them effectively
