General Description
Provide support to Alumni Affairs staff in successfully coordinating and executing alumni events. May be called upon to handle office tasks.
Essential Job Duties
1) Organize, pack, and load items for transport to events.
2) Set up and break down event displays, decorations, etc., at events.
3) Make name tags.
4) Register and collect information from event attendees.
5) Clean up event spaces, and maintain organized storage space for event supplies.
6) Provide courteous and helpful service when working with alumni volunteers and event attendees.
7) Run errands or perform office tasks when needed.
8) Help with events, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Must be available to help with Founders’ Day activities in October and Homecoming events in February.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1) Should possess strong organization skills.
2) Must be self-directed, motivated, punctual, reliable, and demonstrate initiative.
3) Should be able to interact with volunteers, attendees, guests, etc. and represent the alumni constituents in a professional manner.
4) Must be able to take direction from the office staff as well as alumni board volunteers/committee chairs.
5) Ability to dress appropriately for the event being worked.
6) Trustworthy and responsible to handle money.
7) A flexible schedule week-to-week depending on upcoming events is a must. Some nights and weekends will be required. (Can be planned a week or two in advance.)
8) Must be able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds such as coolers, tents, boxes, etc.
9) Should be able to drive a golf cart.
10) Maintain confidentiality.
