Job description
Make a positive change in the lives of others and yourself! The Santa Barbara County AmeriCorps Partnership is recruiting members to support homeless and veteran services programs in Lompoc, Santa Barbara, and Santa Maria.
Roles and responsibilities of members include:
- Assisting clients in accessing resources and benefits including Medi-Cal and Medicare, housing applications, food banks, mental health services, etc.
- Enrolling beneficiaries in the Homeless Management Information System
- Housing beneficiaries by utilizing community resources
- Collaborating with community partners on housing retention activities
- Street outreach in Santa Barbara County
- Volunteer recruitment and management

Job Type: Full-time OR Part-time, 1 Year Contract from September 12th 2022 through August 31st 2023

Basic Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national or a lawful permanent resident alien of the U.S.
- Must undergo a National Sex Offender Registry check and a criminal history check.
- Must be at least 17 years or older.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or agree to obtain one while serving.

The agencies above focus on mental health services, criminal justice advocacy, housing acquisition/retention, and general social services.
Members serve as a part of AmeriCorps which encompasses 75,000 members across the country each year. Members are assigned to one of a variety of non-profit and public agency partners for their term of service.
We are seeking compassionate individuals who are interested in making a difference. Candidates should have a full year of availability, from September 12th 2022 through August 31st, 2023
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $1,125.00 - $2,125.00 per month
