Overview:

Drake Star is seeking to add an Analyst with 0-3 years of relevant experience to join the Investment Banking team in our New York office. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with senior bankers on the entire lifecycle of deals, assist with the day-to-day execution of M&A and private placement transactions, client relationship management, and the creation and review of marketing materials and financial models.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the origination and execution of M&A and private placement transactions; manage key working streams of transactions in a flawless and efficient manner
  • Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables
  • Preparation of marketing materials and client presentations including but not limited to; pitchbooks, valuation materials, confidential information memorandums, management presentations etc.
  • Develop financial and operating models, as well as valuation analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Assist with due diligence process
  • Extensive company and industry analyses (trends, M&A, buyer analysis etc.)
  • Collaborate with global Drake Star offices to support the origination and execution of cross border transactions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 0-3 years of relevant work or internship experience within a TMC team of an investment bank
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational skills and proven self-starter
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, make informed decisions and act independently
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflicts
  • Deep passion for the broader technology sector
