ABOUT LAUNDROMUTT

We've been in the business of grooming dogs and educating their humans since 2004. In fact, Laundromutt was the first self–service dog wash in the Greater Boston area and was soon after followed by its two BYOD sister stores in Newton Centre and South Boston. Our founder, Elizabeth, was inspired to fill this important niche by her German Shepherd, Maya. Throughout her eleven years, Maya battled severe skin issues and one of the best remedies was to give her frequent medicated baths. However, groomers were an expensive option, the bathtub at home was a messy, back–breaking option, and holding Maya under the cold–water hose in the backyard was not an option at all. It was through the trial and error of trying to help Maya find relief that Elizabeth realized the need for a self-service dog wash.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ANIMAL CARE GENERAL MANAGER

In the pet care management position, you contribute to our facility's success by managing the staff and generally overseeing operations. Some of your daily tasks include balancing the cash register, managing inventory, placing retail distributor orders, assisting the groomers with booking appointments, and assisting your team with cleaning duties. Additionally, you oversee the opening and closing of the store. You provide top-notch customer service by acting in a friendly and professional manner when assisting dog owners, and you also contribute to the wellness of the pets by performing nail trimming and educating owners about canine health and safety. Overall, you find great fulfillment in providing quality services and leading a cohesive team!

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in animal care
• Experience in retail
