Job Summary:

Methodist Healthcare, the largest provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas, is recruiting an aortic and cardiothoracic surgeon to join an established practice and lead a growing aortic program.

Qualified Candidates:

• Aortic and cardiothoracic trained surgeon will lead aortic program in collaboration with current cardiothoracic surgeons
• Board certified or board eligible with at least 5 years clinical experience in routine and complex aortic surgery, structural and various other cardiac/cardiovascular surgery
• Preferably at least 5 years of clinical experience after dedicated aortic fellowship and established leadership role or strong leadership potential
• Aortic focused with passion for aortic surgery, leadership, and mentorship to junior surgeons
• Superb communication skills, track record of strong leadership abilities (formal or informal), and a passion for program development and collaboration
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas required
