Imperial Realty Company is a family-owned commercial real estate company headquartered in Chicago. Our portfolio consists of office buildings, shopping centers, industrial buildings and self-storage facilities.
We are seeking an Architect with construction project managing experience to join our construction team!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Management of space-planning, construction build-outs and site planning for proposed developments, including the interior design elements; coordinating with leasing staff, property managers and prospective tenants
- Prepare drawings and take accurate square footage measurements
- Secure appropriate bids and negotiate contracts
- Review tenant signage requests
- Submit and secure building permits/inspections as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Construction project management background preferred
- Strong cost estimating experience
- Working knowledge of BOMA Measurement Standards and the ability to quickly and accurately measure commercial office and retail space
- Interior design experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
- Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, construction crews, vendors and local building inspectors.
- Must be a self starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
