The A&D Specialist/Territory Manager position will be responsible for covering the State of Arizona and the Las Vegas markets. The A&D Specialist/Territory Manager is a Hybrid role, and this position will have responsibilities for leading both specifications and account management. The position is responsible for finalizing details of and closing sales for projects with local accounts within his/her assigned Territory – including material specifications, pricing, quantities, and shipping/delivery.

A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Generating, identifying, and securing specifications from: architectural and interior design communities, national accounts, retail, healthcare, and hospitality accounts.
  • Identify new opportunities for Formica sales within the Architect and Design community, within assigned territory, to achieve/exceed financial objectives including sales, share, and profitability.
  • Create awareness for the Formica brand and products within the architectural, design and specification communities by participating in local industry networks and events as appropriate.
  • Advance Formica’s position in the market through enhanced partnerships with local distributor branches to facilitate project tracking, execution of initiatives/promotions, and distributor sales force coaching.
  • Identify and understand competitive landscape, inclusive of product and distribution and actively shares these findings appropriately.
  • Being a key member of the market selling team consisting of Inside Sales, Channel Manager and Distributor Reps – to ensure cohesive development and tracking of projects and opportunities to grow Formica sales in assigned territory.
  • Engage support from the A&D Spec Manager who will align needs for sales tools/collaterals with Formica marketing
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager to prepare demand forecasts as well as market reports, and track performance to deliver/exceed the Territory sales plan monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Maintain current product and program knowledge – both Formica and competitive information, to effectively present Formica programs and products to customers to close sales; is able to use facts, data, and information to effectively overcome sales barriers, and ensure Formica product is specified in jobs.
  • Finalize and close sales with OEM and target accounts – Distributors and Fabricators, within assigned territory to achieve/exceed financial objectives including sales, share, and profitability.


We’re Looking for a Self-Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 3 + years of relevant experience
  • Selling architecturally specified products required
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time including overnight travel
  • Business to Business (B2B) selling experience preferred
