DrJ Engineering is seeking an organized individual with strong technical and written communication skills to join our established team. This is a full-time position focused on product certification of innovative, groundbreaking building products. The position requires an understanding of building codes and standards. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ingenuity are a must!

Responsibilities:

· Research building code requirements for product certification.

· Draft Technical Evaluation Reports (code compliance evaluation reports).

· Review and summarize test data for product evaluation.

· Review quality assurance and quality control documentation for completeness.

· Collaborate with engineers, product testing staff and operations teammates to serve customer needs most efficiently and effectively.

· Participate in continuing education regarding building code content, construction methods, industry trends, and customer products.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Excellent written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• A dedication to effective time management, budget tracking, and prioritization.

Preferred:

· Familiarity with building codes and standards.

· Knowledge of general construction practices.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

· A Bachelor’s degree (or several years of field experience) in construction management, technical communication, engineering, architecture, or a technical field that allows for effectively fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
