This position is 100% commission based.

JOB SUMMARY: IAC is looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven outside sales representative to generate leads and drive sales. Candidates must be driven, passionate, persuasive and have excellent interpersonal, relationship and sales skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Generate sales and service of industrial equipment in assigned territory
  • Prospect and create sales opportunities for new business
  • Develop sales pipeline through combination of inbound leads, cold calling, networking, meeting attendance, and market sector knowledge/intelligence
  • Implement and execute effective sales strategies to drive sales
  • Travel within an assigned sales territory to meet with existing and potential customers
  • Build and sustain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory
  • Present solutions to assist customers in a new system design as well as system improvements for existing customers
  • Strategically negotiate with potential and existing customers to close sales
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by selling company products and services to new and existing customers
  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, prospects, customer accounts and sales
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process through engagement of appropriate resources
  • Track all sales activities in customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments and market conditions by attending meetings, training workshops and industry events.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

    • High School Diploma Required (or GED Equivalent)
  • Vocational degree or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 years' experience working in industrial, mechanical, HVAC, hydraulics, pumps, electric motors, racking systems, dock doors, forklifts, conveyors or related industry.
  • 2 years of recent outside sales experience in industrial, mechanical or related industry preferred
  • Mechanical affinity and aptitude
  • Energetic, self-starter and people-oriented
  • Familiar with sales methodologies and strategies
  • Ability to interface effectively with diverse personalities at all levels of maintenance personnel, engineers, management and ownership
  • Adept in end-to-end sales cycles
  • Knowledge of local territory
  • Proficient with CRM databases
  • Ability to provide reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug-screen
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle driver record check annually
  • Positive company ambassador
