EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Psychiatric ARNP FLSA: Non-Exempt
Supervisor: Medical Support Services Director
Effective Date: June 1, 2023
Pay Rate: $75 to $95 per hour DOE
Job Summary: Work as part of a team to provide outpatient mental health services and community support in a recovery-oriented outpatient and residential services support setting. Prescribes for an assigned client caseload, reviews treatment plans and progress notes for appropriate medication usage and per
agency guidelines.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed.
- When necessary, supervise members taking medications, visually making sure they are taking correct doses at appropriate times.
- Maintain member and staff confidentiality at all times. 4. Make sure all incoming agency telephone calls are answered.
- Have legible handwriting.
- Be able to do simple mathematics.
- Be able to read and comprehend agency/member charts.
Specific Clinical/Support Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluation of clients.
- Provide pharmacological services on an individual and/or group basis for clients who require such services.
- Provide consultation, education, and training to the staff of
Community House and to assigned contract employees.
- Be available for emergency consultation on a 24 hour basis.
- Maintain client records in keeping with agency, county, and state guidelines.
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness with agency medical/clinical team for voluntary and involuntary clients. This includes revision of all treatment documentation as required by the WAC and per supervisor direction.
- Participate as a member of the Community House Quality Assurance
Utilization Review Team.
- Provide Medicare and Medicaid documentation/identification number for collection of billed services to Community House.
- Provide individual treatment sessions when appropriate to
member emergency needs and per prescribed treatment plan.
10.Assist in discharge planning and written summaries of treatment
as needed for member referral and releases of information.
11.Perform assigned intakes and presentation to clinical team.
- Attend scheduled meetings and conferences. including at least
two hours per week in consultation with the agency staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Current ARNP registration/certification and DEA registration with the State of Washington
- Current First Aid and CPR cards.
- Current home phone/address.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to use
agency vehicles.
- Documentation of personal insurance in order to use personal vehicle for member transport and to use agency vehicles.
- Tuberculosis test.
- Agree to permit State Patrol Background Check.
- Be free of substance abuse.
- A working knowledge and adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience Required: Experience prescribing for mentally ill clients and/or ability to acquire specialized trainings to work with target population.
Skills Required: Ability to work independently and within a team.
